Spunwood specialises in segmented wood turned products.

The company is based in Ireland in county Wicklow "The Garden of Ireland" as it is known. Ireland has a long history of manufacturing high quality hand crafted items and we hope to continue that tradition.

The majority of the wood we use in our range of wood turned products is sourced locally. In segmented turning the vessel is make up of lots of small pieces so there is a lot less waste and the wood not used can be resized and put to use in the next vase or bowl. This all helps the environment, as wood that couldn't be used on bigger vases made from a solid piece of wood can be recycled into a beautiful segmented vessel.
